Orders

How long does it take to process an order?

It depends on order volume, but we strive to have all mask orders shipped within 72 hours of the order being placed. For T-Shirts or orders with T-Shirts it may take us longer as we have to pull out the big heat press.

Where do you ship to?

Currently we ship to anywhere in Canada for free! :)

Does everything really ship for free?

Yes! We really will ship everything, no matter how small or big the order for FREE!
You can also opt for expedited shipping if you don’t mind paying extra for it.

How are orders shipped?

Orders are shipped like letters. For orders of one or two masks they are packaged individually, for three to five masks, they are packaged together in a larger envelope. For orders of six masks or more, they will be sent in multiple envelopes.

Rest assured that all items are sent out via Canada Post at the same time, even if they are packaged separately. If you have received one envelope and are still waiting for another, please give it a few days as Canada Post is experiencing delays.

How long does it take to ship?

Your mask is being sent like a letter through Canada Post. Their conventional guidance is “regular letters are delivered within 2 business days within a city, in 3 business days within a province.” However, they are facing delays or backlogs at this time, so please be patient. Read more

I ordered two masks, but I've only received one. What do I do?

For orders of two masks, we send them individually, so if you’ve received the first one, you should get the second one within a few days - please bear with Canada Post, they are doing their best. If you have received one envelope, and 10 days later you still haven’t received the second one, reach out to us at info@giveamask.ca and we’ll see what we can do.

Can I track my order?

Yes! If you choose 'Expedited Shipping' when you check out, that is a trackable package. For free shipping, there is no tracking available as we are just sending the mask like a letter via Canada Post.

I have placed an order but have not received a confirmation email?

Please allow 2-4 hours for the email to arrive and check your spam folders. If you still have not received the email, please email us at info@giveamask.ca and give us your name, email address, date of order, and order number.

Can I place a bulk order or get customised masks?

Yes, please reach out to us at info@giveamask.ca

MASKS

How do I wear my mask?

Place the mask over your nose and mouth and adjust the straps so that mask fits snuggly. The mask should not pull on your ears or fall off your face when you are speaking or moving around. Learn more on our Fit & Care page.

Does this mask use a filter?

No, this mask does not use a filter.

How do I care for my mask?

Masks can be washed by hand or in a washing machine. Masks should be laid flat and allowed to air dry. You can iron your mask if needed, but do not iron the elastic straps or the silicone adjusters as they can melt under the heat. 

What do I do if my mask gets damaged?

We strongly ask that you take all the necessary steps to repair your masks at home if they become damaged in any way. Unfortunately, we will not be able to replace a damaged mask unless you order a new one.

If you have purchased a GiveAMaskII or a GiveAMask Kids and your elastic has been damaged, you can easily replace it at home. Follow these steps:
1. Cut through the existing elastic - be careful not to cut the edges of the mask,
2. Pull the elastic out - it's is a single loop of elastic, so it will come out all in one piece,
3. Put a new piece of elastic through - anything under 6mm (1/4") thickness should work just fine. :)

Can I return a mask?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of any masks for any reason.

Can I make a financial donation?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept donations. However, if you would like to donate masks without receiving one yourself, you can place an order and have the masks sent to the non-profit of your choice. Please email us at info@giveamask.ca for more information.
